U.S. Inflation Watch-December 2014

U.S. consumer prices rose at 0.8%,  the slowest annual pace in more than five years in December and are poised to slow further in coming months amid the global plunge in oil prices. That was sharply slower than the 1.3% annual growth pace seen in November, and the lowest annual reading since October 2009. Venture capitalists invested $48.3 billion in 4,356 deals in 2014, an increase of 61 percent in dollars and a 4 percent increase in deals over the prior year, according to the MoneyTree™ Report by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), based on data from Thomson Reuters.
