Money management tracker Preqin reported that total assets held by alternative investment managers reached $7.4 trillion globally in 2015, up 10.1% from the prior year, according to Pensions & Investments. Hedge fund industry assets rose 6.7% to $3.2 trillion in the first eleven months of 2015.
